少し不謹慎な話かもしれませんが、ご容赦。
今、シカゴのカウンティ総合病院のERでは、
何が起こっているのでしょう。
ERの物語が終わったのが、2009年。
それから10年経って、
モリスはER部長だったりして（まさか・笑）、
レイチェルは立派な医者になっているのだろう。
カーターとベントンが連携・協力して、
コロナウィルスと闘っているかもしれない。
ふと、久しぶりに、ERの世界に想いを馳せました。
アメリカでは社会的弱者の黒人にコロナウイルスの犠牲者が多く、例えばシカゴでは、黒人は人口の３割なのに犠牲者の７割を占める。これは黒人はサービス業が多い、車を持たない、集合住宅に住む等、不特定多数との接触が多い。また糖尿病等基礎疾患が多い等の理由による。 https://t.co/MP8QTusSc1

The ER was super busy today!
BUT I didn’t see a single Covid patient. Not one.
The ER was super busy today! Started the day pulling a huge insect out of someone’s ear. Ended it taking care of someone who was in an accident and thrown off their motorcycle.
